General Mills Board Changes
NEW YORK - Oct 25/04 - SNS -- Steve Odland was elected to the General Mills board of directors.
Odland is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of AutoZone, Inc.; and Chairman of the Corporate Governance Task Force of The Business Roundtable in Washington, DC.
Also today, Robert L. Johnson, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Black Entertainment Television, a subsidiary of Viacom, Inc., announced his resignation from General Mills' board of directors. Mr. Johnson was elected to General Mills' board in June 1999.
With these two actions, General Mills' board remains at 12 members, two of whom are officers of the company.
