Chickpeas Remain FirmVANCOUVER - Oct 22/04 - SNS -- International chickpea markets maintained their firm tone during the past week, despite relatively light buying interest. Market bulls were helped by last week's snow and freezing rain in southern Saskatchewan. The week started with 71% of the crop in the bin and another 7% in swath, for the possibility 20% of the crop was still in the field when wintery conditions arrived.
