U.S. Edible Bean Harvest In Final Stages
WASHINGTON - Oct 18/04 - SNS -- This year's dry edible bean harvest is in its final stages in the United States, with over 80% the entire U.S. bean crop now in the bin.
Of the reporting states, harvest progress is slowest in New York, which is one of the smaller bean producers in the United States; and most advanced in Idaho and Washington, where less than 2% of the crop remains to be harvested. Excellent progress was reported in North Dakota, the most important producing state, with the harvest now 81% complete, while Minnesota's harvest is 89% complete.
