French Field Pea Exports ImprovePARIS - Oct 14/04 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France recovered some lost momentum during August, with shipments jumping from just 37,090 metric tons (MT) in July to 83,220 MT for the largest single month export volume since October of 2002. Data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP) revealed France's traditional customers in Europe remained the most important destinations for peas during the month; though the first shipment of peas to India was recorded since July and August of 2003.
