U.S. Bean Harvest Passes Midway PointWASHINGTON - Oct 12/04 - SNS -- This year's dry edible bean harvest is quickly moving into the final stretch, with over half the entire U.S. bean crop now in the bin. Of the reporting states, harvest progress is slowest in New York, which is one of the smaller bean producers in the United States; and most advanced in Idaho and Michigan, where less than 10% of the crop remains to be harvested.
