VANCOUVER - Sep 17/04 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredients markets remain firm because of poor availability of new crop merchandise from western Canada and parts of the United States.
Harvest progress for Canadian canaryseed and North American sunflower seed is slower than normal. Combined with quality and yield issues with other crops, this has made growers cautious sellers.
