Canadian Field Pea Liquidity Improves
VANCOUVER - Sep 17/04 - SNS -- No major changes were reported in North American chickpea markets during the past week, though markets retained their bullish flavor.
Stocks remain relatively tight in Mexico on account of this year's reduced harvest. At the same time, a cool and damp growing season has combined with several frost events in western Canada to limit the potential size of the crop in that country as well as the proportion of chickpeas suitable for premium markets.
