USDA Tenders for 12,250 MT SorghumKANSAS CITY - Mar 4/02 - STAT -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here issued a food aid tender for 12,250 metric tons (MT) of sorghum for shipment during the last half of March. Covered by PL-480 food aid tender invitation 032A, the merchandise needs to arrive in the Port of Lake Charles, Louisiana between March 16 and 31. Of the total, 7,250 MT is for shipment to the Sudan, while the balance will be held in the port for future program needs. Offers on the tender are due March 7 for reply the following day. In other news affecting USDA food aid programs, tender invitation 032 was amended to add another 70 MT of lentils for shipment to Bolivia, along with 20 MT bulgur, 120 MT corn-soy blend, 220 MT all purpose flour and 20 MT wheat-soy blend.
