Australia Releases Splitting PeaSYDNEY - Sep 14/04 - SNS -- A new field pea developed for the state of Western Australia gave the best results in recent splitting trials, suggesting the variety will be well received fro technical standpoint despite issues with the color of the seed coat and the splits. Department pulse researcher Peter White said half a ton of grain was harvested from a large-scale trial at Mt Ridley and delivered to Premium Grain Handlers to put through their commercial splitting mill.
