French Pea Season Starts SlowPARIS - Sep 13/04 - SNS -- Field pea exports are off to a slow start in France for the 2004-05 marketing year, with shipments in July less than half year earlier levels, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP). Preliminary totals for clearances in July totalled 37,090, compared to 81,570 MT the same month last year. Customs data showed nearly all the peas ended up in the hands of European buyers.
