Quality Fear Supports Chickpeas
VANCOUVER - Sep 3/04 - SNS -- North American chickpea markets finished the week's trading on a strong note over growing fear about the impact August weather has had on this year's harvest in Canada.
While a good part of the chickpea growing area is outside the region of Saskatchewan which was hit by frost on August 20, most of the growing area has been hampered by a lack of heat, which has slowed crop development.
