Ohio Counties Declared Ag Disasters

WASHINGTON - Sep 3/04 - SNS -- The USDA designated 47 counties in Ohio as primary disaster areas due to damages and losses caused by various disasters that occurred in 2004. Those disasters and the counties are:

For excess rain, lightning, high winds, flooding, hail, and a tornado that occurred from May 1, 2004, and continuing:

Allen                 Cuyahoga       Hocking        Noble
Athens                Fayette        Holmes         Perry
Carroll               Greene         Jackson        Tuscarawas
Columbiana            Guernsey       Logan          Union
Coshocton             Hancock        Mahoning       Wayne
Crawford              Henry          Medina

For excess moisture that occurred from May 1, 2004, and continuing:

Ashtabula             Lake           Morgan         Scioto
Defiance              Licking        Muskingum      Seneca
Delaware              Logan          Ottawa         Summit
Erie                  Lorain         Paulding       Van Wert
Fairfield             Lucas          Portage        Wood
Geauga                Marion         Sandusky       Wyandot

Also eligible because they are contiguous are the following counties; for excess rain, lightning, high winds, flooding, hail, and a tornado that occurred from May 1, 2004, and continuing:

Auglaize              Harrison       Monroe         Shelby
Belmont               Highland       Montgomery     Stark
