Canaryseed Leads Birdseeds HigherVANCOUVER - Aug 27/04 - SNS -- Canadian canaryseed helped lift North American birdseed ingredient markets to a strong finish on the week against persistent worries about weather conditions. The crop was hit by a strong frost August 20 and the week ended with the industry worried about repeat in the coming week because of the August 30 full moon. Forecasts by Environment Canada call for clear skies and overnight lows around plus 5 to 6 degrees Celsius in the main specialty crop producing areas in Saskatchewan.
