USDA Sep Tenders Reach 24,850 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Aug 24/04 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 16,440 MT, compared to 17,310 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are projected up 1,760 MT at 6,820 MT versus 5,060 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 8,390 MT from last year's 9,610 MT.
