USDA Lowers 2002 Potato Estimate
WASHINGTON - Aug 20/04 - SNS -- The USDA made minor changes to its final estimate of the 2002 potato harvest in the United States, lowering the production figure 0.4% 459,802,000 hundredweight (100 pound units) to 458,171,000.
The USDA left production estimates for the years 1998 through 2001 unchanged.
