Canadian Egg Output Slips
OTTAWA - Aug 10/04 - SNS -- Egg production in Canada continued to lag year earlier levels in June, marking the eighth consecutive month in which egg output was down from year earlier levels.
According to the latest production data available from Statistics Canada, a total of 44.4 million dozen eggs was produced in Canada in June, down 6.1% from June 2003. Poultry meat production reached 82.9 million kilograms in June, down 9.9% from June 2003.
