Manufactured Egg Usage Increases
WASHINGTON - Aug 6/04 - SNS -- The quantity of eggs used by food manufacturers in the United States increased in June, rising 12% to 170 million dozen shell eggs broken.
During calendar year 2004, shell eggs broken totaled 940 million dozen, up 7% from the 882 million dozen broken in 2003. Total edible liquid from eggs broken in 2004 was 1.21 billion pounds, up 7% from 2003.
