Brazilian Cotton Output ExpandingBRASILIA - Aug 3/04 - SNS -- Cotton production in Brazil is expected to total 1.4 million metric tons (MT) from 1.2 million hectares, up from 1.25 million MT from 1.07 million hectares last year. With the increase in domestic output, imports in 2004-05 are expected to slip from an estimated 130,000 MT in 2003-04 and 122,580 MT in 2002-03 to a projected 100,000 MT, with as much as 70,000 MT potentially coming from the United States.
