USDA Increases CCC Lending RatesWASHINGTON, Aug. 2, 2004 -- The USDA Increased lending rates for commodity loans disbursed by USDA’s Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC). Rates for 1995 and prior crop year commodity loans during August 2004 is 2.125%, up from 2.000% in July 2004. For 1996 and subsequent crop year commodity and marketing assistance loans, the interest rate for loans disbursed during August 2004 is 3.125%, up from 3.000% in July 2004. The interest rate for farm storage facility loans approved in August 2004 is 4.125%, down from 4.375% in July 2004. The interest rate for sugar storage facility loans for August 2004 is 5.000%, down from 5.250% in July 2004.
