British Field Pea Crops Pressured
LONDON - Jul 28/04 - SNS -- Field pea crops in the United Kingdom were stressed by wet weather during July and are facing above average temperatures during the first half of August.
The combination prompted the British Edible Pulse Association (BEPA) to say total field pea harvested area in the country is unlikely to exceed 60,000 hectares, making "high yields and good quality . . . important to growers and the trade."
