USDA Buys 2,700 MT Field Peas
KANSAS CITY - Jul 16/04 - SNS --- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 2,700 metric tons (MT) of whole yellow and green peas for propositioning in Gulf ports for eventual shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 074B, the field peas are for shipment to port in August.
