World Cotton Output ClimbsWASHINGTON - Jul 13/04 - SNS -- World cotton production is expected to jump from 93.57 million bales in 2003-04 to a record 102 million bales in the coming marketing year, according to data assembled by the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC). Most of the increase is expected to take place in China, where output is forecast to rise 25% to 28 million bales, while crops in Pakistan are expected to increase 10.5%, Uzbekistan 9.5% and Turkey 2%; while production in the United States inches down 1% and India's crop falls 3.8%.
