Canaryseed Leads Birdseeds Lower
VANCOUVER - Jul 9/04 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets posted solid declines during the past week as the industry reacted to surprisingly large canary and millet plantings in Canada and the United States.
Canaryseed showed the most weakness, dropping a dollar a hundred weight (cwt or 100 pounds) in a single day during the week.
